About "Dr. Jacq"
Bio
A mother of three, retired college professor, community engagement expert, and K-12 educator, Dr. Jacquelyn Minor has passion for learning that is nothing short of infectious. Those who know her will tell you she has a heart for empowering women and sees her profession of 24 years, teaching, as calling. Dr. Minor earned her Master of Education in Teaching from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership and Management from Capella University. Earning her doctorate on the heels of her friend Shannon's LVN, she was dubbed "Dr. Jacq" by the family, and it stuck. Dr. Jacq's background in education is complemented by her talent and love for public speaking. Over her lifetime, she has spoken before tens of thousands of people. Jacquelyn has also written public messages of inspiration, encouragement, and empowerment for the website, Plaid for Women.
